ABILENE, Texas, and WICHITA FALLS, Texas — In July, United Supermarkets and Market Street partnered with Project Back to School and K-Ready Kids to raise nearly $7,000 through a School Supply Drive donate-at-the-register campaign in Abilene and Wichita Falls.
Guests in Wichita Falls raised $4,227.08, while guests in Abilene raised $2,705.72.
During the campaign, guests were encouraged to donate at the register at any United Supermarkets or Market Street location in the area. The funds donated will go to Project Back to School and K-Ready Kids, non-profit organizations helping students in need.
“First and foremost, I want to thank our guests for their generosity each year during this campaign,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family. “These funds will go a long way to help provide students in need with the tools they need to achieve success in the new school year. On behalf of the entire United Family, I want to wish all students, parents, teachers and coaches the best of luck in the upcoming school year!”
