(Taos, New Mexico) – Albertsons Market will provide guests the opportunity to bring holiday meals into the homes of people in need, by supporting the 2019 Turkey Bucks register campaign and food drive, a partnership with St. James Episcopal Church in Taos.
Now through November 14th, guests can purchase Turkey Bucks gifts in any amount at store registers. These monetary donations will provide pre-prepared traditional turkey dinner meal boxes to Taos area men, women and children who might otherwise miss out on a holiday meal.
“At The United Family, we recognize the bounty of the holiday season doesn’t make it to every table,” said Robert Taylor, CEO of The United Family. “The Turkey Bucks campaign aggregates community generosity and pairs it with organizations positioned to get the most meals to the most families – food banks and food pantries. We are excited to see how many meals we can provide this holiday season.”
The frozen meal boxes, featuring turkey and dressing, will be compiled and dispensed to families by St. James Episcopal Church during the week leading up to Thanksgiving.
