United Supermarkets & Mighty Wash’s United for a Mighty Cause campaign sees incredible success thanks to guests
LUBBOCK, Texas — United Supermarkets and Mighty Wash launched the United for a Mighty Cause campaign in early June with the goal of raising enough money to purchase 12,000 jars of peanut butter for the South Plains Food Bank’s summer food initiatives.
Thanks to the overwhelming response from guests across Lubbock, the United for a Mighty Cause campaign raised $27,459.81, which will purchase 14,529 jars of peanut butter for the SPFB’s summer food boxes. With United’s lead contribution of 600 jars, the total amount of jars donated is 15,129.
“We cannot say thank you enough to our guests for their incredible support of the United for a Mighty Cause campaign,” said Abie Rampy, director of public relations for The United Family. “The jars of peanut butter donated through this campaign are going to have a huge positive impact for those who utilize the South Plains Food Bank this summer.”
The campaign’s success would not have been possible without the generous contribution from Mighty Wash, who donated a free car wash to guests for each jar of peanut butter donated.
“This campaign would not have been the same without the generous support of Mighty Wash and their coupons to our guests,” Rampy said. “I want to thank Mighty Wash on behalf of The United Family for their partnership and help making this campaign a giant success.”
