United Supermarkets kicks off fundraising campaign benefitting
Children’s Miracle Network hospitals
LUBBOCK, Texas — On Monday, United Supermarkets kicked off a donate-at-the-register fundraising campaign benefitting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in four of its markets, Lubbock, Amarillo, Wichita Falls, and Abilene. The campaign will run through Saturday, March 29.
This donate-at-the-register campaign will run in United Supermarkets, Market Street, and Amigos locations in Lubbock, Amarillo, Wichita Falls, and Abilene. As with past donate-at-the-register campaigns, guests in these areas can add any dollar amount to their grocery bill at checkout. The proceeds will go directly to support Children’s Miracle Network in the communities where they are raised.
Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network has been a non-profit with the mission of increasing funding and awareness to change kid’s health. The organization has a network of 170 member children’s hospitals that provide 38 million patient visits, catering to 12 million children annually across the US and Canada. Since its inception, Children’s Miracle Network has raised over $9 billion through various fundraising programs and partners.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with the Children’s Miracle Network to host this fundraising campaign in our stores,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family. “Children’s Miracle Network does so much for the children and families of our communities. It is humbling to see their impact over the years, and we know the funds raised through this campaign will only allow them to continue their mission.”
The campaign was kicked off in Lubbock, Texas alongside Dr. Brian Payne, CMO of University Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital, a CMN member hospital. Dr. Payne and Sidney Hopper helped make the ceremonial first donation of the campaign.
