United Supermarkets & Kellogg’s team up to donate $15,000 to area middle schools as part of Mission Tiger initiative
LUBBOCK, Texas — As part of the Mission Tiger program, United Supermarkets and Kellogg’s joined forces on Wednesday and Thursday to present three area middle schools with checks for $5,000 each, a total of $15,000. Schools receiving grants include Brownfield Middle School, Post Middle School, and Slaton Junior High.
Beginning in 2019, Mission Tiger is a program designed to help Kellogg’s partner with local grocery retailers to give grants to schools to support physical education and sports programs. The funds provided will help the P.E. teachers in Brownfield, Post, and Slaton buy new equipment for their students.
“We are so thankful to have partners like Kellogg’s who are so engaged in making a difference,” said Abie Rampy, director of public relations for United Supermarkets. “Whether it’s books, food, or new sports equipment for kids, Kellogg’s always steps up to help positively impact our communities. We know these funds will go a long way to help these teachers keep their students active and involved in sports.”
As longtime partners, this will be the third time over the last year that United Supermarkets and Kellogg’s have joined forces to contribute to communities across Texas.
