Albertsons Market presents The Storehouse New Mexico with a check for $30,311
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — On Wednesday, Albertsons Market team members presented a check to The Storehouse New Mexico for $30,311.42 which will provide more than 150,000 meals to those in need.
Albertsons Market ran the donate-at-the-register campaign in September to raise money to support the mission of The Storehouse New Mexico. Whether it’s campaigns like this one or the donation for fresh produce and other food, Albertsons Market is always looking to support organizations battling hunger and food insecurity.
“We are so proud to continue our tradition of support for Storehouse New Mexico,” said Carlos Hernandez, regional vice president for The United Family. “I’m so thankful to our loyal guests who helped us raise these funds. We know just how much these donations mean to this organization and the families they serve.”
The funds given to the Storehouse benefit New Mexico families and individuals who receive food assistance from them. As one of the largest food pantries in the state, The Storehouse serves approximately 35,000 people a year.
“On behalf of the Storehouse New Mexico and the 35,000 people who count on our food pantry annually, we thank Albertsons Market and their generous customers for this amazing gift,” said Jill Beets, marketing rep for the Storehouse. “Every dollar donated to the Storehouse can provide five meals, so this will provide 151,557 meals for local families in need.”
