ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — On Thursday, Albertsons Market presented Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home with a check for $10,000.
This donation will go to help further Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home’s mission of caring for school-aged children who have been neglected, abused or in need of supervision. The non-profit’s origin story begins 50 years ago when members of University Church of Christ had a dream to open a foster center.
“It warms my heart that Albertsons Market lets us give to such a great cause, like the Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home,” said Travis Chaney, RVP for Albertsons Market. “When we give to others, we can change someone else’s life forever. To me, happiness is giving and not receiving. Albertsons Market gives to many charitable organizations and as a team we Volunteer our time and give back throughout NM.”
From its inception to now, Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home has given care to over 600 children and helped over 200 families.
