ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — On Wednesday, Albertsons Market and Market Street joined with The Food Depot and Roadrunner Food Bank to launch a 12-day long, statewide donate-at-the-register fundraising campaign with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and first donation.
The fundraiser will run in all Albertsons Markets and Market Street locations across the state of New Mexico. As with past donate-at-the-register campaigns, guests will be able to add any dollar amount to their grocery bill at checkout. The proceeds will go directly to support the missions of The Food Depot and the Roadrunner Food Bank.
“We are so excited to begin this fundraiser with such amazing community partners,” said Carlos Hernandez, regional vice president for Albertsons Market. “The Food Depot and Roadrunner Food Bank are pillars of hope for communities across our state, and we look forward to helping raise funds for them. We are blessed to be in a position to contribute to their mission of helping those who are dealing with food insecurity.”
The work of The Food Depot and Roadrunner Food Bank serves tens of thousands of people experiencing food insecurity every week. These organizations are vital components of the communities they serve.
