ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — On Wednesday, Albertsons Market and The Storehouse New Mexico launched a new donate-at-the-register
From September 13 to September 25, guests of any Albertsons Market in Albuquerque and surrounding communities can donate money at the register that will benefit The Storehouse New Mexico. It is as simple as adding a dollar or more to the grocery bill when checking out.
“The Storehouse New Mexico is thrilled to have Albertsons Market host a scan tag campaign to benefit our food pantry during Hunger Action Month,” said Kevin Cochran, Manager of The Storehouse New Mexico. “Guests can donate right at the register while they are shopping for groceries, to help us provide food for people in need. Of course, we are fortunate to have Albertsons Market helping us fight hunger in New Mexico all year long with food donations, volunteers, and supporting our events.”
“We are so excited to begin this fundraiser with such amazing community partners,” said Carlos Hernandez, regional vice president for Albertsons Market. “The Storehouse New Mexico is a pillar of hope for people across our community, and we look forward to helping raise funds for them. We are blessed to be in a position to contribute to their mission of helping those who are dealing with food insecurity.”
Providing food to approximately 50,000 people every year, The Storehouse New Mexico is an indispensable part of the community, and Albertsons Market is proud to support their mission.
