United Supermarkets & Kimberly-Clark team up to donate $10,000 to Meals on Wheels Plus
ABILENE, Texas — On Tuesday, United Supermarkets and Kimberly-Clark joined together to donate $10,000 to Meals on Wheels Plus of Abilene.
Serving the area for nearly 50 years, Meals on Wheels Plus delivers 1,200 meals to residents in need each day. With the funds from the donation, Meals On Wheels Plus will continue to bring fresh meals to senior citizens in Abilene and surrounding communities.
“Meals on Wheels Plus is thrilled to be selected by United Supermarkets and Kimberly-Clark to receive this wonderfully generous contribution,” said Betty Bradley, executive director for Meals on Wheels Plus. “It will be a great help as we deliver hot meals to elderly and other eligible adults who are unable to provide balanced meals for themselves. Meals on Wheels is most grateful for this partnership that will help drive away hunger, one meal at a time.”
As a longtime supporter of Meals on Wheels, United Supermarkets recognizes the immeasurable positive impact that the organization has on those in need in the community.
