BACON CITY, Texas — From September 16 to 17, the United Supermarkets in Vernon aka Bacon City will help Wright Brand Bacon celebrate 100 years of business. Over the two days, bacon lovers across the city will be able to take part in a variety of activities centered around all things bacon.
On Friday, downtown Vernon will play host to a food truck competition and a concert from the Randy Rodgers Band. There is even a scavenger hunt for guests to complete with a reward of free Wright Brand Bacon from United Supermarkets.
On top of all the fun downtown, guests of United Supermarkets will be able to take advantage of a miniature bacon fest inside the store on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. This will include free samples of bacon products as well as special deals.
“As a fellow Texas-based company, we want to take this opportunity to welcome Wright Brand Bacon to the century club,” said Allen Smith, regional vice president for United Supermarkets. “Wright Brand Bacon has been a fantastic partner with us for a very long time.
