(Pecos, Texas) – The United Family has completed the purchase of property at S. Cedar Street (Hwy. 285) and Lincoln Street and will begin construction of a new grocery store, pharmacy, convenience store and fuel station to serve the Pecos community. The store is expected to open in late 2020.
The main store, a United Supermarket of 44,000 square feet, will include: a full-service bakery, sushi bar, full-service deli, in addition to a meat market with an in-house butcher for custom meat cutting. An extensive beer and wine selection will also be available.
For quick meal preparation and an alternative to fast-food, the United Supermarket will offer its Ready Meals selection of fresh foods, which are “Ready to Eat, Ready to Heat or Ready to Cook.” A pharmacy, with the convenience of a drive-through window, will also be a feature of the store. Guests can expect the same outstanding customer service which is a trademark of United Family stores.
The development will include a 3,000 square foot United Express convenience store and a fuel station with 12- fueling positions.
The land was purchased from Summit Pecos, LLC. Officials from the City of Pecos and Reeves County, Pecos Economic Development Corporation and Executive Director Ken Winkles, were all instrumental in bringing United to Pecos.
